Matthew Tuscano, widely known about town as "Tusky," grew up on Lake Bomoseen and manages the band Twiddle. Matt also spends many nights in Rutland trolling for live music. With his hands in virtually all aspects of the scene -- from management to booking to merchandise, recruiting, and lugging equipment -- his love of the music business behind the scenes stems from a lifelong love of rocking 'n' rolling. Tusky Time Vermont Music blog

This Saturday night, May 10th, two Rutland-friendly shows are going on around the area.

One is Crazyhearse, down at Manchester Bar and Grill. These Rutland folk-rock punksters, who have a unique sound, just released a new CD and are making their first trip down to Manchester. The foursome take the stage at 10 p.m. This is a big show for them — so go out and support!

Also playing Saturday down at Sidelines in Center Street Alley in Rutland is The Peace. Their acoustic hip-hop/folk mix is fun and it’s always entertaining when bassist Billy Comstock is on stage. Billy is a good friend and great musician; go support his new band The Peace, taking the stage at 10 p.m.

There it is, two Rutland-based bands playing at two local venues — Saturday night’s alright for music.

Want to check out a new artist, an awesome band, or experience a cool venue? Give Tusky your time.
