Matthew Tuscano, widely known about town as "Tusky," grew up on Lake Bomoseen and manages the band Twiddle. Matt also spends many nights in Rutland trolling for live music. With his hands in virtually all aspects of the scene -- from management to booking to merchandise, recruiting, and lugging equipment -- his love of the music business behind the scenes stems from a lifelong love of rocking 'n' rolling. Tusky Time Vermont Music blogDid you get to Higher Ground last weekend?  Let us know what you thought about Connecticut progressive-rock/funk foursome The Breakfast that served up some treats, and openers Albany jam band School Bus Yellow. We have done two shows with The Breakfast and they are sick. Good guitarist in Tim Palmieri, he will really entertain you.

The act in the Ballroom, rock four-piece Tea Leaf Green, have rock-pop outfit Moonalice opening. Tea Leaf Green is a well-known band out of San Fran who have been traveling across the country for years now, having had their music career jumpstarted by Phish leader Trey Anastasio. He asked them to support his tour in autumn 2005 after they caught his eye. Tea Leaf is slotted once again at most major summer music festivals this summer.

Take the ride and go see some good music. I will be bouncing back and forth between the two shows, I just can’t make up my mind, they both rock! Doors are at 8 p.m.
