If you’re anything like me, the snow, ice and cold are finally starting to grate on your nerves. Actually, it started grating on my last nerve weeks ago. I’m now ready for spring to finally spring.
Don’t get me wrong. I love winter. I enjoy the cold and relish the snow. I even put up with the ice.

The frozen lake glistens for a brief moment, mirroring the reflection of a nervous face. Can city girl make it on the ice? My breath gets caught in my throat as that split-second feeling of ‘I’m going to die’ frosts over me. I catch myself and exhale. Why, yes she can. The proof is in the footing.
Without ever stepping foot on a frozen lake, the weeks-long apprehension hanging over my intent to try ice fishing caused my boot to suddenly freeze in mid-air. Is the ice really frozen? Well, how do you know? But how do you really know?

Not only was yesterday’s storm a real adventure to ski and snowboard in, it piled up snow to our wildest dreams. With the total accumulation of 13 to 15 inches, we are adding a boatload of new trails; 11 to be exact. That’s right we now have 109 trails with fresh powder from our Nor’easter! Today is not a day to spend in the office.
