Matthew Tuscano, widely known about town as "Tusky," grew up on Lake Bomoseen and manages the band Twiddle. Matt also spends many nights in Rutland trolling for live music. With his hands in virtually all aspects of the scene -- from management to booking to merchandise, recruiting, and lugging equipment -- his love of the music business behind the scenes stems from a lifelong love of rocking 'n' rolling. Tusky Time Vermont Music blogTuesday (tonight) two great bands are making the trip to Manchester. The Brew and Elephantbear are playing at the Perfect Wife, as part of 8 Days In April, the music festival that has taken over Manchester for, you guessed it, 8 days. Music is rocking four venues, having started last Saturday and continuing until this Saturday.

The Brew is a band out of Boston that any music lover should put on their radar. They have been touring solid around New England and New York City for the past several years. The music is tight and the vocals outstanding. The Brew was recently nominated for their first Jammy award for Best New Artist. A proven fact they have hit the big time! It won’t be long before they have blown up and start touring around the nation, so go see them while you still can.

Elephantbear is making the trip from Plattsburgh, N.Y., with their pop-rock groove, so show them some love. Kicking off the night’s tunes is Mike Farkas.

Help support 8 Days in April, a great event that has brought in some of the best music Vermont has seen.

Want to check out a new artist, an awesome band, or experience a cool venue? Give Tusky your time.
