WESTON — The Jenny Brook Family Bluegrass festival celebrated its eisave4colordtbband626.jpgghth annual year in Weston.

Performing on Friday was the Dan Tyminski Band. This five-member band includes lead singer and guitarist Tyminski of Rutland, Adam Steffey on mandolin, Barry Bales on bass, Ron Stewart on banjo and Justin Moses on fiddle.

Tyminski recently released his second album, “Wheels,” on Rounder Records. The album features songs about conflict, heartache and the lessons of life.

Promoter of the festival, Candi Sawyer, has known Dan for a long time and said, “I’ve always wanted Dan Tyminski to be there.”

Three other national bands performed, including David Parmley and Continental Divide, Danny Paisley and Southern Grass and the Gibson Brothers.

Along with the national bands there were seven regional bands, including the festival’s host, The Seth Sawyer Band. Also scheduled are The Old Time Bluegrass Singers, White Mountain Bluegrass, Family and Friends, Smokey Greene, Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters and Acoustic Blue.
