Tusky Time is a music blog by Matt Tuscano, widely known about town as “Tusky.” Matt grew up on Lake Bomoseen and spends many nights in Rutland trolling for live music. With his hands in virtually all aspects of the scene — from management to booking to merchandise, recruiting, and lugging equipment — his love of the music business behind the scenes stems from a lifelong love of rocking ‘n’ rolling.

Being presented a few years back with the unique opportunity to manage the band Twiddle was music to Tusky’s ears, and he has never looked back. Today — close to 150 shows later — Tusky continues to bring Twiddle to eager fans stretching from across the U.S. and into Canada. Being a part of the band has enabled Tusky to meet many talented artists from across the country — those well loved with much insight to share, and those little-known but well-deserved of attention — many of whom are from Vermont. Rutland itself has a solid roster of artists and a music scene on the brink of burst, and Tusky hopes to tip the spotlight to those who make the music scene sing. He has a vision for the Rutland musical community, one that will make the scene shine
